Ministry of Health Directs Medical and Food Safety Measures for the 2026 High School Graduation Exam

The Ministry of Health has recently issued a plan to implement medical support measures for the 2026 High School Graduation and University/Vocational Education Entrance Exam. With a record enrollment of over 1.2 million candidates, ensuring health, food safety, and environmental hygiene at testing sites has become a top priority.

According to the directive, the Ministry of Health is working with provincial and city People's Committees, ordering Departments of Health to strengthen disease surveillance and maintain rapid response teams to address emerging situations. Specifically, food safety is being tightened at restaurants and eateries serving candidates and their families near exam locations.

The Vietnam Food Administration (VFA) will serve as the focal point for coordinating responses in the event of mass food poisoning, aiming to identify causes and sources quickly. Medical facilities have also been instructed to fully allocate personnel, medicines, and equipment to support emergency medical services.

Notably, the Ministry of Health requires medical facilities to provide accurate and timely medical certifications for candidates who suffer from illnesses or injuries during exam days. This is intended to ensure maximum rights for students according to current exam regulations.

Furthermore, inter-agency collaboration between the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ministry of Public Security has been initiated to ensure emergency response capacity for unexpected situations, contributing to a safe and smooth examination process for students nationwide.
