Nghe An Proposes 177 Million VND Fines for 7 Food Safety Violators

In accordance with Decision No. 1527/QĐ-UBND, from April 20 to May 15, the Nghe An interdisciplinary inspection team audited 18 food production, business, and catering establishments in the province. Inspections revealed that 7 entities violated food safety regulations.

Common infractions included: failure to maintain a one-way processing flow, deteriorated infrastructure with moldy walls and ceilings, incomplete 3-step food inspection records, and inadequate measures to prevent insects and pests from entering processing areas.

Specifically, Hoang Son Investment and Business Co., Ltd. (Do Luong Commune) faced the highest proposed fine of 80 million VND due to multiple violations concerning licensing and facility conditions. Minh Tam Phat Clean Food Co., Ltd. (Truong Vinh Ward) was recommended a 33 million VND fine. Other entities, including Muong Thanh Cua Lo Hotel, Hung Hoa Trading Service Co., Ltd., and Minh Anh Tan Ky Garment Joint Stock Company, were each recommended fines of 16 million VND for hygiene and cross-contamination issues.

The inspection team emphasized the necessity of strict follow-up inspections and publicly naming violators to ensure public oversight, particularly during the peak tourist season and hot weather, aiming to mitigate the risks of food poisoning.
