The Central Interdisciplinary Steering Committee on Food Safety has established 5 inspection teams to strictly monitor food safety compliance across 10 key provinces and cities nationwide.

The Central Interdisciplinary Steering Committee on Food Safety has recently issued detailed guidelines for the formation and deployment of 5 interdisciplinary inspection teams during the 2025 Food Safety Action Month. This initiative aims to strengthen management and exert strict control over collective kitchens, catering services, and street food vendors.
The composition of the inspection teams is organized as follows: Team No. 1 is led by the Vietnam Food Administration (Ministry of Health), in coordination with units from the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the National Institute for Food Control, conducting inspections in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Phuoc.

Team No. 2, led by the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, collaborates with the Environmental Police Department and specialized testing units to conduct inspections in Quang Binh and Quang Tri. Team No. 3, led by the Agro Processing and Market Development Authority, will operate in Hanoi and Bac Giang. Teams No. 4 and No. 5, led by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, will coordinate with relevant ministries to carry out inspections in Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Dien Bien, and Lai Chau.
The Steering Committee requires these inspection teams to focus on key priorities. The primary agenda includes addressing existing management deficiencies and strictly penalizing violations regarding the production, trade, and advertising of food products, ensuring strict compliance with current legal regulations.
